Serenity House is a safe haven. It offers peace and the chance to heal for women in need. Ironically, no one needs that safe haven as much as the woman who runs Serenity House: Samantha Riggins.

When a pregnant teenager lands on her doorstep it's nothing new. But something about this girl doesn't seem right and Sam reaches out to the one person who has the power to upend her world: J.D. Kronos, a private investigator with secrets of his own.

Things get more complicated when a recently-widowed mother with a young son arrive at Serenity House. The son Sam gave up for adoption ten years ago. The son J.D. knows nothing about.
